Dinosaurs And Man Together?
The image above shows carvings found on one of the columns at the temple of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Did dinosaurs and man live together in earth's past?

Where did the name dinosaur come from?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Etymology

The taxon Dinosauria was formally named in 1842 by paleontologist Sir Richard Owen, who used it to refer to the "distinct tribe or sub-order of Saurian Reptiles" that were then being recognized in England and around the world. The term is derived from the Greek words δεινός (deinos, meaning "terrible," "potent," or "fearfully great") and σαῦρος (sauros, meaning "lizard" or "reptile"). Though the taxonomic name has often been interpreted as a reference to dinosaurs' teeth, claws, and other fearsome characteristics, Owen intended it merely to evoke their size and majesty. [Wikipedia Reference]

How long ago did the dinosaurs live?

A common misconception that has been presented to us by the Modern Secular scholars and Darwinian Evolutionists is that dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago. Various theories have been concocted from the imagination of man as to how they all died. One popular theory is they were killed by a giant asteroid or meteor from space around 65 million years ago. I guess that celestial body that fell to the earth (as they say) had the word dinosaur written all over it because they claim it only killed the dinosaurs without regard to rest of the living things. Or maybe they modified the idea that some other living things did actually get killed (they change their stories frequently when their theories are disproved). This kind of thing is taught in our schools all over the world and you can't even turn to a program on TV or a game involving dinosaurs without seeing what secular media crams down our throats about dinosaurs dying out 65 million years ago.

Here is an article about a new dinosaur find in Answers in Genesis: 75-Million-Year-Old Dinosaur Blood Cells?

Note the column carvings on the Angkor Wat picture at the top of this page. Can you see the second carving down from the top? It is a carving of a dinosaur!

The following article accessed from Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia gives a partial explanation of the history and purpose of Angkor Wat:

Angkor Wat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Angkor Wat (Khmer: អង្គរវត្ត or "Capital Temple") was first a Hindu, later a Buddhist, temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world. The temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in Yaśodharapura (Khmer: យសោធរបុរៈ, present-day Angkor), the capital of the Khmer Empire, as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Breaking from the Shaiva tradition of previous kings, Angkor Wat was instead dedicated to Vishnu. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious center since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country's prime attraction for visitors.

Angkor Wat combines two basic plans of Khmer temple architecture: the temple-mountain and the later galleried temple, based on early Dravidian architecture, with key features such as the Jagati. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, home of the devas in Hindu mythology: within a moat and an outer wall 3.6 kilometres (2.2 mi) long are three rectangular galleries, each raised above the next. At the centre of the temple stands a quincunx of towers. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Angkor Wat is oriented to the west; scholars are divided as to the significance of this. The temple is admired for the grandeur and harmony of the architecture, its extensive bas-reliefs, and for the numerous devatas adorning its walls.

The modern name, Angkor Wat, means "Temple City" or "City of Temples" in Khmer; Angkor, meaning "city" or "capital city", is a vernacular form of the word nokor (នគរ), which comes from the Sanskrit word nagara (नगर). Wat is the Khmer word for "temple grounds" (Sanskrit: वाट vāṭa ""enclosure").

Here are two images showing a close up of the Angkor Wat dinosaur carving along with another carving from 1500's France:

This carving in Angkor Wat is just one example of evidence found that man and dinosaurs must have co-existed. There are large numbers of carvings and paintings all over the world along with large quantities of documentation and written records from prominent explorers.

I guess what really disturbs me is that the Secularists even refute this evidence of the carvings of dinosaurs at the Angkor Wat and that man coexisted with them!

Now we need to examine more of recent history (within the range of the last few thousand years) to see if there have been any accounts or legends describing the existence of dinosaurs and dragons.

This link to www.icr.org gives us reasons why man and dinosaurs coexisted. There is a video that lasts 1:38 that gives good food for thought. Also you can read text below the video. There are many other pages of articles in www.icr.org pertaining to dinosaurs.

A link to www.answersingenesis.org gives a lot of information.  Check out this 4:13 minute video from Ken Ham and take a look at other articles.

Go to Job, Chapter 40 especially verse 17 and compare what is said about the size of the tail of the beast. This is clearly not  description of any large beast we have in the world today. Yes the dinosaurs are all basically gone. We killed them out because we live in a fallen world that is no longer perfect and they were considered a dangerous threat to humanity and other animals.

Now if you like, you can click here to see a listing of Verses of Scriptures and what they have to say have to say about these large beasts.

Picture
I took this photo of an Angor Wat model in 1968 during a visit to the Temple Grounds in Bangkok, Thailand. This is not the real temple obviously because of its size. This is only a model. As you should have already read in this article, the real temple is in Cambodia. When I took this photo, I was not aware of any carvings of dinosaurs and I am not sure of what detail there was in this model.
